How do I get there? Teleportation? Dragons?

Getting to Guwahati is easier than it looks on the map! Most guests flying from the US/Canada/Europe will first land in a major Indian city. We suggest flying into Delhi (DEL). From there, it's a short (relatively) hop to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) in Guwahati.

Suggested route:

US/Canada/UK-->DEL;

DEL-->GAU (~2.5 hrs); suggested airline: IndiGo.

Transportation will be provided from the airport to your hotel/Homestay

Pro Tip #1: Book your domestic (within India) flight separately to give you more flexibility. We suggest booking your domestic flights through Make My Trip.

Pro Tip #2: We all love that one gets 2 checked in baggage for free (50 lbs each) on international flights. Unfortunately, that is reduced to 1 checked in baggage (33 lbs) per passenger on most domestic flights so be sure to check baggage allowances. Don't say I didn't, say I didn't warn ya.

Pro Tip #3: On your flight from Delhi to Guwahati, if possible, select a window seat on the left side of the plane because if you're lucky and the sky is clear and blue, you can see Mt. Everest and it is majestic. The pilot usually will make an announcement if visible.

Where do I dwell? Smial? Winterfell?

We were recently visited by a fairy and granted a wish. Fortunately, we didn't want for anything —because we're already marrying our everything — so we wished that our friends, who are so generous to travel all the way to Guwahati, have the best time without having to worry about anything else. That they get to dwell in the present. And one way to make that happen was to give them a present — arrange for accommodation, free of cost, for the duration of the wedding festivities. You might not stay in a castle but you will be treated like royalty.

Further details to be provided upon receipt of confirmed RSVPs.

NOTE: Guests will have the opportunity to ask additional questions when they RSVP. If the questions are more generic, they will be added to this page at a later date. If they are specific, we will respond to you individually.
